Join us for a relaxing cruise as our Captains expertly guide you through the fires of the Providence River, Riverwalk & Waterplace Park. Our WaterFire® boat rides offer the perfect date night or special occasion activity, or simply come aboard to soak in the beauty of WaterFire® from a whole new perspective! WaterFire® is already such a mesmerizing event, but seeing it from the water adds a whole new level of magic. We've been offering our WaterFire® boat tours since the fires began in 1994, come see why we are the best at what we do!

Add your charcuterie to your reservation when checking out and we'll make sure it's waiting for you at check-in!

Frequently asked questions

What if it's raining?

WaterFire® is a rain or shine event. If they light the fires, our rides will run as scheduled and there are no cancellations/refunds.

What should I wear/bring?

We suggest bringing a sweater/windbreaker on cooler evenings. If it's raining, you may bring an umbrella aboard, but we will have them available for you to use, as well. If you're hungry, feel free to bring a beverage, snacks or ice cream from The Landing or pre-order some charcuterie at check-out!

Are these tours narrated?

No, they are not. WaterFire® broadcasts an event-long music program throughout the entire installation, so these boat rides are not narrated.

Is there a bathroom on the boat?

There are no restrooms on the boats, so please plan ahead and use the bathroom inside The Landing prior to boarding. You will need to allow yourself extra time to check-in, use the bathroom and walk to the docks in time for boarding, so please arrive a few minutes earlier than normal.

Can I BYOB?

Absolutely! Our WaterFire® rides are BYOB-friendly, so feel free to bring your favorite drinks and sip as you cruise. Relax, unwind, and enjoy the fires!

Can I bring my dog?

We love dogs, but....only service animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are allowed aboard. Comfort animals, emotional support animals, and therapy animals are not service animals and are therefore not recognized by the ADA or the State of Rhode Island.

Can I book a private WaterFire® ride?

Absolutely! Please call our office for pricing and availability.

Check-in for our WaterFire® boat rides is now inside The Landing Providence, located at 101 Dyer Street, downtown Providence. We will launch from our docks at the Dyer Street Landing, which are right across the street.

First Fires: Experience WaterFire® during the opening lighting ceremony! Approximately 45-60 minutes, depending on the opening ceremony length, $60 per person, all ages.

Who Needs a Ticket?

All passengers, including infants, must have a ticket to board.

There are several parking garages, outdoor parking lots and on-street parking spaces throughout our neighborhood.

There are several parking garages, outdoor parking lots and on-street parking spaces throughout our neighborhood.

We also recommend taking your hotel shuttle, a Lyft or Uber, or walking from your hotel, if possible. We are centrally located in downtown and most hotels are within a 15 minute walk from us.

Accessibility

Because our vessels were built specifically for us to navigate the low-hanging bridges throughout downtown Providence, neither of them are wheelchair accessible.

Because our vessels were built specifically for us to navigate the low-hanging bridges throughout downtown Providence, neither of them are wheelchair accessible.

To get on and off our vessels, a person needs to be able to walk down a 40+ foot ramp from street level to our docks, and then step over the side rail and into the boat. Our crew can certainly offer a hand to get on/off the boat, however, we're not able to pick someone up and carry them aboard.

Walkers and wheelchairs may be left on the dock while touring, at your own risk.

WaterFire® is a rain or shine event, and reservations are non-refundable. Please make sure you are booking the correct date/time.
Customers may reschedule their reservation or receive a credit for a future 2025 WaterFire® ride (subject to availability) with 72 hours advance cancellation only.
